Trajectories presents ‘Photalk’
Every other month, on a Tuesday (usually) 6-8pm. Tickets Free
Trajectories presents ‘Photalk’, a monthly evening event in a supportive environment to provide a platform for the sharing and discussion of photographic practice.
WHY: This is an opportunity to showcase your work, get critical feedback and meet people who think the way you do. This could be especially useful for graduates and emerging photographers who are looking for that support network. However, it is open to all who are interested in expanding their practice.
WHO: Photographers working on photographic projects, series or narratives aiming to communicate an idea or concept. This would suggest (but is not exclusive to) documentary and contemporary art photographic modes. You may have a finished project that you want to showcase or a project in its early to middle stages that you want feedback on.
HOW: Submit eight to twenty photographs from the project you would like to present or send a link to the work with the current artist statement / blurb as it stands outlining the concept. Work may be fully realised or ongoing. Photographs should be no larger than 1mb each. Send to philipwelding@gmail.com
WHAT: If your project is selected, all photographs you wish to show from the project will be compiled into a show reel containing the work of all participant photographers. On the night, this will be watched in its entirety, and then individual photographers can talk through their intentions in more detail.
